Heuchera are a popular perennial for outlining the front of a bed or border. From late spring through much of the summer, their low, dense mounds of rounded or heart-shaped evergreen leaves are topped with wiry, branched stems covered on the upper reaches with beautiful bell-shaped flowers. The flowerstalks last for a longtime, each stalk often blooming for six to eight weeks, and hummingbirds love the flowers ─ a real plus.
