Duke Blueberry Bush

The Duke Blueberry Bush (Vaccinium corymbosum 'Duke') is a high-yielding variety known for its large, firm, and sweet berries with a slightly tangy flavor. The fruit ripens early in the season, typically in mid-summer, and has a beautiful light blue color. Duke bushes thrive in USDA Zones 4-7 and require full sun, acidic, well-drained soil, and regular watering. They are self-pollinating but benefit from cross-pollination with other blueberry varieties, such as Legacy or Patriot, for improved yields. Duke bushes grow to about 4-5 feet in height and should be pruned annually to maintain shape and promote better fruit production.
